Have you been having a hard time perfecting college and life balance?
One of the things that I always say is, having A’s and good grades is great, but you need a life too. When you get out into the work force, you’re going to find that employers tend hire people and not grades. You need to have the time to develop your character, your values, interests and to cultivate the things that make life worth living and that help differentiate you from everyone else.
But how do you make the time to do things outside of the classroom, when you have papers to write and exams to study for?
What I have to say to that is, you design your life. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day and YOU get to decide what you fill it with.
There will be lots of opportunities that show up in your life, but the key to living a truly fulfilling college experience is you knowing the difference between the Big Rocks, Gravel and Sand I described in the video, and prioritizing your life based on that.
If you don’t, what you’ll find is you’ll look back at your life and find it filled with meaningless activities that didn’t add any joy or purpose to your beautiful human experience.
So loves, do yourselves a favor and get really clear on these questions:
1. What makes life worth living for you?
2. What are your top 5 core values and beliefs? What activities can you prioritize in your life to fully step into and embody those values?
