The stress that comes with summer classes is related to the 16 weeks worth of material crammed into a 5-6 week session.
That is a lot of information in a short period of time. The class sessions are also longer which leaves less time to study especially if you work full time or are taking more than 1 class this summer.
Today I am sharing with you 3 tips on how to pass summer classes. So you don’t miss out on beach time with your friends.
- You have to stay organized. Go out and get yourself a planner or at least a monthly calendar. Write down all of your due dates for quizzes, exams, papers and projects.
- Go to lecture and be strategic about your reading assignments. You’re not going to have much time to do all of the reading and the professor is not going to have enough time to cover all the material.
- Teach yourself how to effectively study. Not only will you get better grades but you’ll also accomplish more in less time so you can have some sort of summer vacation.

Tonya, I took algebra over the summer too when I was a Bio major. Take lot of notes and do a lot of practice problems. That is going to help you out the most.
I am taking, intro to geography(by force lol), accounting 2, business stat 2, business ethics.
I was going to say Kayla, why are you taking geography. That explains it. But wow girl, you have a lot on your plate this summer. Hope my tips help and you pass all your classes with awesome grades.
Hey! Currently a high school junior who will be taking Government and Economics this summer at my local community college. This will be my first time taking a summer class and I’m kind of nervous. My main goal is to obtain an A in both of the class. But I’m just confused on what times I should take and hopefully getting a good professor. I will definitely watch your videos as I hope to just get an A. Lol thanks again. 🙂
Hey! I think you are my first high school commenter. Yay, for that! I think it’s really cool that you are taking summer classes at your local community college. I did the same thing my senior year. Just college writing, but I still remember feeling so smart because of that. I have no doubt you will get an A. Just stay organized and study smarter not harder.
I’m taking Zoology 201, Stats, British English, and Public Speaking this summer of course spread out through May and June. Hope the study sheet helps me!!
